Рак на горе app icon: a red crayfish in front of a mountain

Puzzle game · Android & iOS

Рак на горе: fifty proverbs, twelve mini-games, one crayfish

A red crayfish climbs six mountains. Every level is a Russian proverb acted out as a mini-game.

What the game is

«Когда рак на горе свистнет» (When the crayfish whistles on the mountain) is a Russian idiom for "never". In this game the crayfish sets out to do just that: climb six mountains and whistle from the top. There are 50 levels, each named after a Russian proverb, and each proverb is played out by a mini-game that fits it. The game is in Russian only.

Twelve mini-games

How it keeps going

Five drops are your lives: a win is free, a loss costs one, and a drop comes back every 20 minutes. Wins earn notes, and every three notes open a promise in the book of things everyone promised to do "when the crayfish whistles". Once a day three shells hide a gift. A leaderboard shows you under a generated name you can change.

Who it is for

Russian-speaking players who like short puzzles in a coffee break and a game that never plays the same mechanic twice in a row. Levels take one to three minutes. The game is free and supported by ads; there is nothing to buy.

Frequently asked questions

Does the game work offline?

Yes. Downloaded levels, drops and the book of promises work without internet. A connection is needed for the leaderboard, cloud backup, new level artwork and ads.

Is the game free?

Yes. It is free and supported by ads, with no in-app purchases. Rewarded ads play only when you press for them: to continue an attempt, get a drop or a bomb.

Is there an English version?

Not yet. The levels are built on Russian proverbs, so the game ships in Russian first.

How do I restore progress on a new phone?

Progress is saved on the device and backed up under an anonymous account. Reinstalling on the same device restores it; moving to another device is not supported yet.
