Hue Lab: a calm pour-and-mix colour sorting puzzle
Pour, mix, relax. A calm colour puzzle with Mix, Fog, Capped and Burst chapters.
What Hue Lab is
Hue Lab is a colour sorting puzzle in the spirit of the classic water sort game, with a few ideas of its own. Tap a tube to lift it, then tap another to pour. A colour pours only onto the same colour or into an empty tube. Gather every colour into its own tube and the level is done. It is a relaxing puzzle with no lives and no timers, and it plays offline.
Levels that make you think
The game is built from endless chapters of ten levels: two tutorial levels, then generated puzzles that climb from three colours to eight. Every board is dealt into full tubes, and the generator throws away any level that obvious moves would solve, so there is always a real decision to make. Finish close to par for three stars. Replay any level and it comes back with new colours and a fresh layout.
Four chapter rules
- Mix – pour red onto blue and the run turns purple, so some colours have to be made.
- Fog – colours stay hidden until you uncover them.
- Capped – one tube is sealed until you finish another.
- Burst – a finished tube pops and frees itself.
The rules cycle, so no two chapters in a row play the same.
Help when you need it
Undo is unlimited, and if a board can no longer be finished, the game tells you instead of leaving you stuck. Hints and extra tubes are yours to keep: you start with a few, and when they run out a short video tops them up. A level solved with help still earns two stars. A daily challenge gives everyone the same puzzle each day, with a streak to keep.
Who it is for
Hue Lab is for anyone who likes a calm brain teaser for a few minutes at a time: on a break, on the train or before sleep. Choose liquid, gem or block tube styles, a light or dark theme, and English or Russian. The game is free and supported by ads, with no account and no in-app purchases. The first three play sessions have no ads at all, and no ad ever interrupts a level.
